Bank General Counsel Program
Outside Counsel Program
Farley Law Bank General Counsel Program
The banking industry is heavily regulated, making it difficult to move forward on service decisions or new programs due to an unfamiliarity with laws and regulations. Through our Bank General Counsel Program, Farley Law offers our banking clients all the legal information and services they need to feel secure in their decisions and confident in opening new programs. The program offers four tiers of legal access at a regular cost to meet whatever amount of legal needs you may have. Your banking institution can benefit from the following:

Elevate the Quality and Services of Your Bank
Confidently enable your institution to reach the next level. The Bank General Counsel Program gives you ready access to the expertise you need to resolve legal and regulatory barriers facing your institution.
-
- Offer and support new services that you were previously unable to.
- Employ previously unused tactics and strategies to strengthen and better position your bank for the future.
- Understand your legal and compliance risk. Minimize your losses and risk with informed decisions and better policies and processes.
- Confidently resolve numerous issues that would otherwise linger unknown, unaddressed, or unresolved.
Best Practices and Cross-Pollination of Ideas
Access a broader knowledge base and offer your institution more options for stability and growth. Farley Law works with over thirty banking institutions, which gives us a close-up view of programs and strategies that work and don’t work. While we do not share proprietary strategies and tactics, we’ll help you adopt industry best practices and develop new and profitable solutions with you that you may or may not be familiar with.
Proactive Approach to Business
Shift from a reactive to a proactive approach to solving legal problems and managing regulatory risk. The Bank General Counsel Program lets you call counsel when you need to, have regular meetings, and establish a stronger partnership with your attorney so you can address problems when – or better – before they arise.
-
- Identify opportunities and legal tools that will advance the bank’s objectives.
- Address problems early while they are small and easily resolved.
- Identify proactive solutions to recurring problems.
- Anticipate and manage regulatory and legal changes. Take advantage of opportunities that come with change.
- Take advantage of opportunities that come with change.
Known Legal Expense
By choosing one of the four program tiers, you will have one regular, predictable service charge, rather than unpredictable hourly legal fees. This set expense also provides support to compliance/BSA/audit/deposit ops personnel. This “fractional legal counsel” model allows many areas of your bank to have access to legal assistance without being concerned about incurring additional costs.
